Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade has been awarded a “Symphonic Pillar award” in recognition of his efforts in supporting the creative industry and for his investment in youth/talent development.

The award was conferred on him at the just concluded 4th edition of Paradise Music Festival & Awards tagged ‘AKWA CROSS EDITION’ held at the Pearl Ball Room of the prestigious Transcorp Hotels, Calabar.

The state before now had only the state tourism bureau as well as the state carnival commission which the ministry now coordinates.

The Director General of Copy Right Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji who was among the dignitaries present at the event charged entertainers in Nigeria to continue their pursuit in the creative industry, as entertainment remains a major contributor to the economy of states and federation in this current era.
